Plastic River

Dubbed the world’s most polluted river, the Citarum river, is located in West Java in Indonesia. When the Bencheghib brothers found out that it was in their home country and no one was speaking about it, they had a crazy idea- to kayak down the Citarum river on plastic bottle kayaks.

”Plastic River” is a short documentary about stark realities, adventure and optimism. Through the power of social media, the brothers’ expedition created a huge awakening to activate the government of Indonesia in cleaning up their most polluted river.
