The Indonesian Trash Hero

Mr. Sariban, a 76-year-old retired man, has made it his mission to clean his city. Every day, he bikes around the streets of Bandung, Indonesia looking for garbage. He started cleaning in 1983 and has been using the same yellow uniform and bicycle ever since. People, once used to call him crazy, but today, he is considered a local hero and an inspiration for many. 

“It starts today.”, he says. “It starts with the youth. It starts by taking action yourself. We can all stop littering now. This world will be more beautiful, the more we clean it.”
